Overview
In 1935, Paul Edgecomb, the head guard of a prison's death row block known as the "Green Mile," encounters John Coffey, a gentle but imposing inmate convicted of murdering two young girls. As Paul witnesses Coffey's extraordinary healing abilities and remarkable compassion, he begins to question the man's guilt and the true meaning of justice, faith, and humanity.
