At IMDH, we're building a community of movie lovers who share their passion through reviews, ratings, and discussions. These Content Guidelines help ensure that everyone can enjoy a positive experience on our platform.
To create the most comprehensive and trusted database of movies and entertainment, powered by a respectful and engaged community.
1 Overview
These guidelines apply to all content created, uploaded, or shared on IMDH, including but not limited to:
- Reviews and ratings for movies, TV shows, and other content
- Comments and discussions
- User profile information and photos
- Lists and collections
- Any other user-generated content
By using IMDH, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal or account suspension.
2 Core Principles
Our community is built on these foundational principles:
Be Respectful
Treat fellow users with respect, even when you disagree. Personal attacks, harassment, and bullying have no place here. Critique the content, not the person.
Be Authentic
Share genuine opinions and experiences. Don't post fake reviews, use multiple accounts to manipulate ratings, or impersonate others.
Be Helpful
Contribute meaningfully to the community. Well-written reviews, accurate information, and constructive discussions make IMDH better for everyone.
Follow the Law
Don't post content that's illegal, violates copyrights, or infringes on others' rights. Respect intellectual property and privacy.
3 Reviews & Ratings Guidelines
Reviews are the heart of IMDH. Here's how to make yours count:
Do
- Focus on the movie/show itself
- Explain your rating with reasons
- Use spoiler warnings when needed
- Be specific about what worked or didn't
- Keep reviews relevant and on-topic
- Update reviews if your opinion changes
Don't
- Attack actors or filmmakers personally
- Submit duplicate or spam reviews
- Use reviews for self-promotion
- Post reviews for content you haven't seen
- Manipulate ratings with multiple accounts
- Include excessive profanity or vulgarity
When discussing plot details, twists, or endings, please use our spoiler tags or clearly mark your review as containing spoilers. Respect others' viewing experience!
4 Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited on IMDH and will be removed:
Harassment & Hate Speech
Content that attacks, threatens, or demeans individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
Violent & Dangerous Content
Content that promotes violence, self-harm, terrorism, or dangerous activities. Graphic violence unrelated to movie discussion is not permitted.
Adult & Sexual Content
Pornographic content, sexually explicit material, or content sexualizing minors in any way. IMDH is a family-friendly platform.
Spam & Manipulation
Automated posting, fake reviews, rating manipulation, deceptive links, or any attempt to artificially influence content visibility or ratings.
Impersonation & Misinformation
Pretending to be someone else, creating fake celebrity accounts, or deliberately spreading false information about movies, actors, or the industry.
Copyright Infringement
Posting full movies, pirated content, or copyrighted material without permission. See our DMCA Policy for more information.
5 Images & Media Guidelines
When uploading images or media to IMDH:
- Only upload content you have the rights to share
- Movie posters, stills, and promotional images should be credited appropriately
- Profile photos must be appropriate for all audiences
- Do not upload images containing nudity, violence, or offensive content
- Respect the privacy of individuals in photos
For the best experience, upload high-quality images. Blurry, distorted, or heavily watermarked images may be removed.
6 Profile Guidelines
Your profile represents you in the IMDH community:
- Username: Must be appropriate, not impersonate others, and not contain offensive language
- Profile Photo: Must be suitable for all ages and not contain prohibited content
- Bio: Keep it civil and relevant. No spam links or promotional content
- One Account: Each user should have only one account. Multiple accounts may be suspended
7 Reporting Violations
If you encounter content that violates these guidelines, please report it:
- Use the "Report" button on reviews, comments, or profiles
- Email our moderation team at moderation@imdatahub.com
- Provide specific details and links to the offending content
- Do not engage or retaliate against violators
All reports are reviewed by our moderation team. We take every report seriously and will take appropriate action.
8 Enforcement & Consequences
We enforce these guidelines to protect our community. Consequences for violations may include:
