Yuvraj was born on December 12, 1981, in Chandigarh, India. Due to his performance in the 2000 U-19 World Cup, he received his first senior call-up to the India squad in 2003. His father is the famous Indian cricketer Yograj Singh.

When he was just 18 years old, Yuvraj Singh built his name when he scored a memorable 84 against Australia at Nairobi. This contribution led India to victory in the ICC Knockout Trophy. Yuvraj Singh scored 69 runs off 63 balls to help Mohammad Kaif in the famous lord’s chase.

In the quarter-finals, he played an important role in India’s win against Australia. He scored 58 against West Indies also in the tournament.

Yuvraj cried when Dhoni hit the six. The country did not just win but also got a winner in him.
