Introduction.
Akhilesh Yadav, the previous Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has risen as a young leader in politics who has continually provided political and economical answers to make India better. As the youngest Chief Minister of UP, he played a critical role in changing the political landscape of the state. He has made use of the youth empowerment project which transformed the political landscape and there was a strong building push.

Early Life & Education.
On July 1, 1973, Akhilesh Yadav was born in the village of Saifai in Uttar Pradesh. The well-known politician and Samajwadi Party (SP) founder Mulayam Singh Yadav is the father of Akhilesh Yadav. Akhilesh Yadav graduated from the Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) of Mysore and later obtained a master’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of Sydney in Australia.

Political Journey & Rise to Power.
In 2000, he entered politics officially when he got elected Member of Parliament (MP) from Kannauj. His spontaneity and progressive ideas soon had an impact on the Samajwadi Party.

Key Milestones in His Political Career.
Akhilesh Yadav became the youngest Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh at the age of thirty-eight in 2012. From 2012 to 2017, he identified the need to improve infrastructure development and launched several projects for it. 
In 2017 he went into an election with the party but was defeated by the BJP.
In 2022, he was the Leader of the Opposition, UP.

Achievements as Chief Minister.
In 2012 and 2017, Akhilesh Yadav was the state CM of Uttar Pradesh and worked on many schemes.
Uttar Pradesh's biggest expressway was launched, which is the Agra-Lucknow Expressway.
A metro rail service was launched by him in Lucknow, which improved urban transport.
Distribution of free laptops to students to encourage digital education.
The Samajwadi Pension Program was launched to help the poor families.

Challenges & Political Struggles.
Even being modern in vision, he faced several problems.
Tensions arise between members from the mom’s side and kids' side. 

The BJP wave that came in 2017 and 2022 was quite powerful. He was getting many criticisms due to mismanagement of law and order in UP.
