Tonni Laha Roy was born on July 27 1993, in Kolkata, West Bengal, and made her acting debut in 2015 serial Tumi Robe Nirobe. Going by the reports, the famous Bangla TV serial Dighi Mukherjee opened doors of opportunities for Tonni. Thanks to her portrayal of Dighi, the audience and the industry alike loved her.

Rise to Stardom.

After that debut, Tonni appeared in many hit television serials, including Ajob Premer Golpo, Tekka Raja Badshah, and Bene Bou. But her character Torsha Modak in Zee Bangla’s that hit show Mithai made her famous. Her powerful screen presence, commanding performance, and audience connection made her an instant favorite.

A New Phase in Their Relationship: About Love

Tonni is also under the radar due to her relationship life that is in the news. In October 2024, she hit the headlines by going public with her relationship with actor Rajdeep Gupta. They became eachother's companions after going through tough times, despite already being good friends for a long time.  They made their love official on the occasion of Bijoya Doshomi.

After Mithai, Tonni is all set to return to TV with Zee Bangla’s awaited Chirodini Tumi Je Amar.  The character of Meera is one that will show off her amazing range as an actress.  Her fans are waiting to see her as yet another character.
