The Journey of Modeling and Acting Begins.

Swastika Dutta, born on the 23rd of April in 1994, Kolkata started her career as a model. By being a participant of FFACE (Fame Fashion and Creative Excellence), she garnered notice which opened the doors of the industry for her.

Swastika's first big break in acting came in 2015 when she performed in Raj Chakraborty’s film Parbona Ami Chartey Tokey. This character opened doors for her in the world of television and cinema.

In the same year, she made her television debut with the serial Dugga Dugga, playing the character of Tara. This successful television career would make her a household name in Bengal.

Swastika's Career: First Movie and TV Shows.

Swastika Dutta became popular after being cast as Dali in Bhojo Gobindo (2017). Many loved her character because she played the fun and mischievous character of Dali in Bhojo Gobindo (2017).

She further showcased her talent in.

In Bijoyinee (2018), she played the strong-willed character Keka who faces many challenges.

In 2019, she wowed the audience with her role of Radhika in the series Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay. The character of Radhika was a very strong woman who was independent and stood for love and justice.

While she has made a name for herself on television, Swastika has also been a part of Bengali cinema. In 2022, she acted in the film Johny Bonny, which proved her capability of shining in the big screen too.

You began your career as a model. How did that experience help you in acting?

Modeling gave me confidence in front of the camera that’s for sure. It gave me a sense of posture, expression, and how to carry myself which became useful in acting.

Which is your favourite film of all the roles you have played? 

Every character is special to me, but it would be Radhika from Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay. She was tough, strong, independent, and a very layered character. So Radhika is my closest character.

I deal with the pressures of fame by going with the flow.

I remind myself to just be me. My fans love the real me and I want to stay true to that. 

What type of character do you want to play in the future?

Swastika said, “I would love to do psychological thrillers and roles that challenge me as an actor and something completely opposite to what I’ve done.”
