Swastika's first big break in acting came in 2015 when she performed in Raj Chakraborty’s film Parbona Ami Chartey Tokey. This character opened doors for her in the world of television and cinema.
In the same year, she made her television debut with the serial Dugga Dugga, playing the character of Tara. This successful television career would make her a household name in Bengal.

You began your career as a model. How did that experience help you in acting?
Modeling gave me confidence in front of the camera that’s for sure. It gave me a sense of posture, expression, and how to carry myself which became useful in acting.
Which is your favourite film of all the roles you have played?
Every character is special to me, but it would be Radhika from Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay. She was tough, strong, independent, and a very layered character. So Radhika is my closest character.
I deal with the pressures of fame by going with the flow.
I remind myself to just be me. My fans love the real me and I want to stay true to that.
What type of character do you want to play in the future?
Swastika said, “I would love to do psychological thrillers and roles that challenge me as an actor and something completely opposite to what I’ve done.”
